Fairmount Camp wrapped up their annual Family Camp yesterday evening. We’re grateful for the ministry of Rev. Nicholas Hect and Rev. Amber Cook who served as evangelists, and for the leadership of Pastor Jeff Luedtke, Pastor Rob Tippey, and Executive Director Krista Brown. Fairmount’s Legacy Camp is right around the corner, scheduled for August 13–17, with Dr. Joe Harmon and Dr. John Drury serving as this year’s evangelists. Click here for more details. Pastor Terry and Lennaire Vaughn hosted a neighborhood outreach event this Saturday at The Bridge at Fountain Square, our newest Crossroads District campus project. They connected with 18 families from the community during the event. Many of those committed to bringing others to the upcoming vision gathering. We’re grateful for the Vaughns' heart for the city and their bold steps in launching this new work in Fountain Square. We continue to celebrate as lives are being #MadeNew across the Crossroads District. Pastor Jere Gowin and the team at Kingsford Heights Wesleyan Church reported in with three individuals publicly declaring their faith through baptism last week. Praise God! Pastor Sam Maddox and the Albion Wesleyan Church team shared an update from yesterday's service, where four young people (ages 9 to 14) were baptized. What a joy to see the next generation responding to God’s call and publicly declaring their faith in Jesus. Pastor Zack Working and the team at Hope Rising Church in Huntington also celebrated five baptisms this weekend. One of those baptized was Esperanza, daughter of Assistant Pastor Daniela Cabriales. What a beautiful moment as Esperanza was baptized by both her mom and dad. Praise the Lord! Our prayers and condolences are extended to the family of Rev. Matthew Miller, who passed away on Wednesday, July 16. Pastor Matthew and his wife, Sherrill, faithfully served The Wesleyan Church for nearly five decades, including at Wabash North Wesleyan Church, Elwood Central Wesleyan Church, and most recently as a chaplain before his retirement. A celebration of life service will take place on Saturday, August 2 at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Church (9709 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN), with visitation following the service. Each year, our district conference receives reports from our various ministry champions. This week, we’re spotlighting the District Board of Ministerial Development Report from Rev. Carla Working and the Global Partners Report from Rev. Steve Mathews and Dr. Rich Schenck. As announced at District Conference, we’ll be hosting our upcoming ReEquip ministry workshops on Saturday, September 27, 2025 in the Marion area (location TBD). This morning event will be packed with practical workshops for pastors and lay leaders. Topics include Discipleship in the Marketplace, First Impressions, Harnessing AI in Ministry, Children’s Ministry, and Church Finances. Mark your calendar and bring your team! On Tuesday, September 23, Indiana Wesleyan University is hosting a special Pastors & Church Leaders Day in partnership with the Wesleyan Holiness Connection. We’re encouraging pastors and ministry teams to take advantage of this opportunity for encouragement and equipping. Click here for more information and registration. This fall, the Empowered Youth Tour is making a stop in Grand Rapids on October 24–25. These regional events are being hosted by The Wesleyan Church, and we’re thrilled that our own Andy Riemersma is among the featured artists. More information is available at: https://wesleyan.org/empoweredtour2025 Keep on making a difference in the cause that counts for eternity! Yesterday morning was a special day for the Sweetser Wesleyan congregation as they officially welcomed Rev. Andrew and Jackie Kinney through a pastoral installation service. The celebration included the joyful baptism of a teenage girl who recently dedicated her life to Christ at camp. We’re excited to see what God has in store for Andrew and Jackie as they serve alongside the wonderful community at Sweetser Wesleyan Church. Fairmount Family Camp kicked off yesterday evening with a strong start and the tabernacle nearly filled to capacity. The week is being led by a fantastic team, including Pastor Jeff Luedtke, Pastor Rob Tippey, and Executive Director Krista Brown. Rev. Nicholas Hect, lead pastor at Trinity Wesleyan in Tipton, opened the camp with a timely and Spirit-led message. He’ll be joined throughout the week by Rev. Amber Cook as part of the evening preaching rotation. Services begin each night at 6:30, and we’re confident you’ll leave encouraged if you’re able to attend. Pastor Ryan Budde and the team at Westview Wesleyan in Jonesboro reported in with a backpack giveaway they held last weekend. In total, they distributed 782 backpacks to 280 families, hundreds of pairs of shoes, and served up 1,020 hotdogs and 11 dozen donuts to more than a thousand participants. Well done Pastor Ryan and the Westview team! Pastor Andy Jellison and the team at Lifeway Church in Fort Wayne held another successful Vacation Bible School with over 100 children attending. Praise God for at least 10 young hearts making first-time decisions for Christ! Each year, our district conference highlights reports from our various ministry champions. This week, we’re spotlighting reports from our Circuit Riders:

Michele Henry reporting a strong turnout of over 160 campers. We're celebrating that 10 campers made first-time commitments to Christ, another 20 recommitted their lives, 7 sensed God doing a deeper work in their lives, and over 70 campers prayed specifically for help through difficult situations. A huge thank you to Rev. Michele Henry and Mrs. Jackie Kinney for their leadership, supported by an amazing team of volunteers (including 10 of our district pastors and more than 70 teen cabin leaders and helpers). We pray that God continues to ignite a passion in this next generation to fully pursue Him! The River Church in Marion hosted Serve Day 2025 this past Saturday, mobilizing more than 350 volunteers who tackled a wide range of projects across Grant County. We're grateful for all who stepped out to make a difference in their community! Rev. Andy Riemersma and the team at ONE Church in Westfield have another great reason to celebrate: yesterday morning, six more individuals publicly declared their faith through baptism! That brings ONE Church to 12 baptisms this year and a total of 47 baptisms since their launch just three and a half years ago. Praise God for lives #MadeNew! Each year, our district conference highlights reports from our various ministry champions. Mark and Sherry are away for the next few weeks for a well-earned time of rest and renewal. We’re grateful for the ways they pour into leaders and churches across our district all year long, and we invite you to join us in praying for a refreshing break for them both. During their time away, the district office remains available to serve you. In Mark’s absence, Dr. Chris Williams, Assistant DS, will chair the District Board of Administration and is authorized to convene the board should any urgent matters arise. Pastor Michael Hewitt passed along an exciting report from Muncie Rising Hope this week. The church had prepared for one baptism yesterday, but during a spontaneous time of praise and testimony, hearts were stirred and people responded. Before the service ended, five individuals had stepped forward to be baptized. Praise God for lives #MadeNew! Rev. Noah Farmer and the Eastview Wesleyan team in Gas City shared an update from Sunday, as three individuals publicly declared their faith through baptism. Praise the Lord! Earlier last week, Pastor David Leitzel and the team at Hamilton Wesleyan Church celebrated two baptisms, including a deeply meaningful moment for Tahina (pictured below). She is the widow of Joe, who passed away earlier this year while incarcerated. One of Joe’s greatest hopes was that she would experience the life-changing grace of Jesus Christ. Her baptism was a profound moment of healing and answered prayer. Each year, our district conference receives reports from our various ministry champions. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing several of these reports with you. This week we’re highlighting the District Superintendent’s Report from Dr. Mark Gorveatte and the Church Multiplication Report from Rev. Michael Hewitt. We also want to express our appreciation once again to Marv Miller and Lightwell for serving as our platinum sponsor at district conference this year. Their generosity made possible the iPad giveaway. Congratulations to Mrs. Paige Ringo on winning! Fairmount Camp is hosting Kids Camp this week, and we’re praying for a special move of God in the lives of every child and leader present. There’s something sacred about this time each year, when campers encounter Jesus in fresh and life-defining ways. And coming up later this month, Fairmount Camp’s annual Family Camp is scheduled for July 20–27. This year’s evangelists are Rev. Nicholas Hect and Rev. Amber Cook.
